The proposed development is on the site of the former Spennymoor
Greyhound Stadium close to the town centre, with excellent pedestrian
links.
The site is also well serviced with the A688 only a few hundred yards
away, giving easy access to the A1 (M), opening up all the main commuter
routes.
An outline planning permission has been granted for the construction of
100 dwellings and associated access. A detailed remediation strategy has
been prepared and costed.
