The site lies approximately 1 .5 miles to the south east of Wolverhampton
city centre with access onto Cable Street. The proximity to the A41 gives
good access to both the motorway and the city centre.
The site itself is approximately 10.22 acres, forming part of an area wide
regeneration incentive.
The site is roughly flat in nature and is bounded on the east by a canal. The
site to the west has recently been granted planning permission for a mix of
residential units and care facilities.
Outline planning permission has been granted for the constructionof
164 residential dwellings and 36,000 sq ft of B1c industrial units. The
contribution of affordable units has been agreed at 10% and any
requirement for offsite public open space and public art has been waved.
Demolition of the existing units has been undertaken and a detailed
remediation strategy has been prepared and costed.
