The site is situated 3 miles from Rochdale, to the south west of
Littleborough and midway between the town centre and Hollingworth
Lake Country Park. The site is accessed from Hollingworth Road (B6225)
which links with the A58 trunk road to the north east of the site and to
Junction 21 of the M62 motorway approximately 3 miles to the south.
The site has now been remediated.
The site has been granted outline planning for a mixed use development
including hotel/leisure, offices and 164 residential units.
